If your week feels like a chaotic blur of school runs, work deadlines, half-eaten toast and laundry piles — you’re not alone.
Time management isn’t about cramming more in. It’s about making space for what matters most. That’s where designing your Ideal Week comes in. This powerful little planning tool has helped hundreds of Space and Time clients feel more in control, less rushed, and better able to handle life’s juggle.
What is an Ideal Week?
It’s a visual weekly template of how you want your time to flow — based on your values, priorities, and energy levels.
It includes:
- Work hours
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Meal prep
- Exercise and self-care
- Admin blocks (for bills, calls, emails)
- And yes — rest!
It doesn’t have to be perfect (remember: done is better than perfect!) — but it gives your week some shape and intention ✨
Why create an Ideal Week?
- You’ll make fewer decisions on the fly
- You can batch similar tasks together
- You’ll stop forgetting the important but not urgent stuff
- It helps you say “no” to things that don’t fit
How to build yours
- Start with fixed appointments (work, school, commitments)
- Add your priorities (exercise, cooking, family time)
- Create admin blocks (for errands, emails, life admin)
- Leave buffer time between tasks for sanity
- Include white space for rest, fun, or the unexpected
Extra tips
- Colour-code categories (e.g., blue for work, green for family)
- Print it out or set as your phone/computer background
- Review and adjust it weekly or seasonally
